Ameracauna (Lavender Split)
Our Ameraucana breeding pen is designed with one goal in mind—beautiful, consistently blue eggs. We've carefully selected only our bluest-laying Ameraucana hens for this pairing, ensuring each generation continues to improve the vibrant shell color the breed is known for.
This flock is covered by our Lavender Ameraucana rooster. Because of this pairing, all offspring will be split to lavender, making them excellent candidates for future lavender breeding projects. Chicks from this pen will hatch in either blue or black plumage, with each carrying one copy of the lavender gene.
In addition to egg color, we continue to select for correct Ameraucana type, healthy, vigorous birds, and the traits that make this breed such a favorite among backyard poultry enthusiasts and breeders alike. While blue egg color can naturally vary throughout the laying season, our focus remains on retaining hens that consistently produce the richest blue eggs possible.
Whether you're looking to add striking blue egg layers to your flock or incorporate lavender genetics into your breeding program, this pairing offers an exciting combination of color, quality, and carefully selected bloodlines.
